Dear friends you are the first to hear officially that today we just accepted Vasil Vasilev into a new partnership with CBM and the EBF as the new associate coordinator of youth ministry leadership training alongside myself in Prague! The past six months have been a discernment process for both Vasil and myself and CBM in partnership with the EBF to bring on someone to work alongside me in this growing and exciting ministry. Vasil (or Vasko to his friends) will start January 1st 2008, leaving his come country of Bulgaria where he has served his union as the national youth secretary. Vasil brings many years of experience at the EBF level and is currently starting a Masters of Theology in Youth, Family and Community ministry at Moorlands College in Great Britain. Vasil and I are close friends and have worked together on many projects and I am excited to enter this new chapter as collegues.
Terry Smith of CBM was here today in Budapest to faciltate the final negotiations and in the photo below Emmett Dunn of the Baptist World Alliance youth work witnessed this exciting new chapter for us all. Please pray for Vasko and the transition from his home, his family and ministry. He has a big heart and we want to extend a warm CBM welcome!
