Hurry up and wait....

I remember as a teen hearing my cousin talk about the times when he was in the military and his superiors would say "hurry up and wait" basically told to be at a specific place and exact time and then have to sit and wait for ever for the orders. Well that was what it was like this morning... we were told to be at the hospital at 8:30a.m. and did not see a doctor till 11a.m. (sigh)... anyway Wednesday was the rounds for the neurlogical department (thank heavens for the Czech mom in our room who was briefing us on the protocol... though happily for them her son was released today... sad for us, we are on our own again). So Zachary had no less than a group of 20 doctors crowd into our little room (no lie) and he was asked to walk in front of everyone (teaching hospital) and then he was examined. He was a trooper. We are so proud of him. The stress of the past few days on him and us is noticable but we are managing... Having colds and being sick ourselves (Deann and I) has really put pressure on us emotionally. Anyway then we were told to wait yet again and at 1pm our doctor came back (she is very good and very professional we like her a lot) and told us the tests so far where good and that he still has some more to go and a MRI next week. We are in for at least another week until they decide if he is a candidate for surgery. So we are very happy that the neurological results so far are good... some tiny things to watch for but we are glad... pray we can make it day by day. We are trading off, with Deann at the hospital and me at home working (we have a sitter temporarily) and then we switch so Deann can get home to keep things running here. more later....

Thanks so much for the frequent updates. I hope your blogspot makes you feel as connected to us and I do with you. You are all being challenged with so much going on at the same time. I pray for you daily and so do many others. You have senn God at work many times in your experiences and he will carry you through this too. Blessings, Bev
