Prayers for Deann tomorrow...

Well on the ONE hand...   well I could not resist... one has to have humor when it comes to these things.  Deann will undergo her second (and final we hope) carpel tunnel surgery tomorrow morning on her right wrist.  The left hand that was done last November was a complete success and for the first time in years she has not had any numbness in the hand.  So tomorrow we are as hopeful about this one.  The slight problem is that for two weeks Deann won't have use of her right hand and that creates a unique problem since she is right handed.  Us men folk have to pitch in again and help her NOT lift or do anything that might damage the healing process.  Zachary has taken up the dogs more and more and is actually a really good "dog whisperer" and seems to command the respect of our Labrador which is not easy since he is so strong.  Matthew handles the Yorkie no problem even when he wants to tear after something.  March 1st marks a day of great uncertainty for hospitals across the Czech Republic as there are 4000 hospital doctors (of the 20,000 in the country) that are threatening to resign if the government does not give a SUBSTANTIAL raise.  The average doctor would make about $2000 a month including overtime.  They would like almost twice that amount.  Since the Czech is in an austerity program they are refusing and this has put health care in jeopardy.  Some entire hospitals may be forced to close... or entire wards depending on the speciality that is hardest hit.  I have a surgery scheduled for April but I am unsure whether it will remain on that date depending if the surgeon is still on staff!  Trying times... this economic thing....
